Bio
Catia Mencacci, born in Cortona in the province of Arezzo, approached the world of photography in 2012. She enrolled in her first photography course almost as a joke, at the suggestion of a friend. With no knowledge of what was a new environment for her, having never felt the need to photograph before, she comes to her first lesson without a camera.
The initial interest very soon turns into a deep and overwhelming passion. She is mainly interested in the impressionistic and dreamlike sphere of photography, the one in which the image transports the observer's soul into a parallel world: a magical environment made up of emotions such as enchantment, melancholy and dreams.
She has also received international awards and exhibited in numerous Italian cities.
