Stavo guardando vecchie cartoline degli anni '20 e '30 raffiguranti stelle del cinema in pose di teneri innamorati. Una delle regole immediatamente imposte alla popolazione per limitare la diffusione della pandemia è stata quella di tenersi a "un metro di distanza" tra gli individui: da qui il mio pensiero sulla difficoltà per gli innamorati non conviventi di adeguarsi a queste direttive. L'effetto di distacco tra i due attori è stato ottenuto con lo scanner, utilizzando la tecnica del trascinamento manuale, e invecchiando manualmente le stampe dei file ottenuti.
EngThe idea was born during the emergency caused by the spread of the Coronavirus, with the intention of creating a fictional project of the epidemic, but which still expressed the discomfort. I was looking at old postcards from the 1920s and 1930s depicting movie stars in poses of tender lovers. One of the rules immediately imposed on the population to limit the spread of the pandemic was to keep "a meter away" between individuals: hence my thoughts on the difficulty for non-cohabiting lovers to adapt to these directives. The detachment effect between the two actors was obtained with the scanner, using the manual drag technique, and manually aging the prints of the files obtained.
